The Spanish sounds are not the most complicated aspect of this language. I would say that English is much more complicated, having several sounds for the same letter and several combinations of letters for the same sound.

However, this is not the case in Spanish, where each letter has a sound. The five vowels (A, E, I, O, U), each with a single sound, carry the weight of Spanish phonetics. Some consonants, combined or not, have their own particularities. This is the case with H, which is silent or mute, meaning it doesn't count phonetically when combined with a vowel. You will just hear the sound of the vowel. The letters J, LL, RR, Ñ, and some others that we will explore have their particular sound.

The IPA Chart is a tool to represent the sounds of any language in the same way, with symbols. Kowing them will help you to decode the pronunciation when you see a word in a dictionary, for example.
